GFCI resets and quiet breakers
Ground-fault protection outlets in kitchens and bathrooms include test and reset buttons. If outlets near water stop working, press reset after unplugging devices and drying the area. If a breaker trips, turn it firmly off and then on, never forcing resistance. Repeated trips indicate a deeper problem, so stop and report it. Label your panel to speed future troubleshooting. Never replace a breaker or outlet in a rental without permission and training. Your safety matters more than any quick fix.
